Islamic turban is a slender piece of cloth used in covering the head. This culture applies to all the faithful of Islam religion. This is for a case where the religion is predominant. It is a symbol of belief in the given religion, traditions and personality of the given faithful. This makes it a must for all the people whether adults or children, male or female to fully obey this tradition.

The given cloth is wrapped around the head up to a point where the crown is completely covered from the view of other people. It has to be known that there is a style which is used to wrap it around the head. This style requires skills and teachings. Just wrapping it anyhow is not allowed under this culture.

Such a task is always a challenge to some people. Challenges usually arise in cases where the garment is quite long. In the end, some individuals end up making very tight ties which are a health hazard. Such cases make this person to have recurring headaches and feel uncomfortable. It is with practice that perfection in wrapping is achieved.

There are variations in color for this item. Some are navy blue whereas others are white, blank and green. Selection on color basis is strictly as per the needs and preferences of the faithful. No limitations are based on this. These four colors are the most popular ones.

Materials used in designing them are very important. These materials are the determinants of costs for purchase. Designers of this garment are known to prefer fine materials of cotton, silk and synthetics. The heavy ones are not preferred at all. This is because; they may cause a lot of problems to those people living in hot areas. Besides, the issue of constant headaches is bound to persist with the use of such.

Distinction of Muslims from non-Muslims is the main reason as to why this garment is used. It has been their form of identification since time in memorial. On this ground, it carries a lot of weight in strengthening the Islamic ties between different brethren of this religion. That is why everyone who wears it has to do so in the right manner.

For ladies, it is a common feature. They make use of it in covering themselves especially when in public places where they are mandated to wear. This entails covering both the head and the face with an allowance left for the eyes alone. This act of women is viewed as modest dressing especially for those who are married.

The use of Islamic turban is basically a symbol for demonstration of various human aspects and qualities that are highly regarded in the Islam religion. It illustrates a sense of self respect, devotion to the religion and manhood in a person. Those men who wear it portray their strength and belief in this religion. During prayers, the garment is worn by all since this is a tradition supported by their religious book.
